“ It’s cold….” Isa mumbled, nibbling at the ice cream. It happens after Lea buys the two ice cream: It’s a narration of the epilogue from Lea’s point of view. This was a great scene, and foreshadows how the theme “memory” was set up as the focal point for Lea and Isa right from the very beginning.

Clearly Lea gets Isa’s sense of humor and can tell that is his way of showing affection. In the Japanese version, he actually says his other catchphrase “ ureshii ne”, meaning “ I’m so flattered”, in an exaggerated way. Apparently he doesn’t smile too often, so that’s a good sign. I could tell he was being sincere when he said he’d never forget Lea. Isa strikes me as the type of person who has a hard time directly showing his feelings, but is a very caring person deep down. Playfully sarcastic, but he has a genuine smile afterwards. Believe me, I try all the time.”Īnd how does Isa respond? That he wouldn’t forget him. In his view, memories grant one immortality. “ Got it memorized?” He wants everyone to remember him, and live forever. His whole character revolves around the theme “memories”. This one quote describes Lea in a nutshell. Inside people’s memories, I can live forever.” Lea : “I want everybody I meet to remember me. I just cannot get over how heart-breakingly beautiful the Lea/Isa relationship was portrayed (until KH3 IMHO): I figured if even one person got something out of that post, it was worth it.Īnd I was thinking even MORE on it after I made that post. Everyone I know in real life who likes KH is sick of hearing me rant about it.

Yeah, I was SO mad at how KH3 handled Lea and Isa, I spent days thinking about their story and how it wasn’t done justice.

I also am more than happy to answer Asks. Oh my gosh, thanks! I have SO many thoughts on KH′s story and characterization so I am planning to write a lot of stuff.
